I'm curious about builders thoughts regarding the decision to build (or buy) a single seat plane only to later regret not having chosen different plan with two seats.

I am fairly sure that a single seat design is what I'm looking for -- I don't want or need the extra weight, lowered handling & performance characteristics and expense that additional seat will bring. I don't really care to have or be responsible for a passenger in a LSA or ultralight.

That said, is there something that I've overlooked here that is worthy of reconsidering that 2nd seat? Something not quite obvious until you've built or owned one?

Thank you.
