I'm reading through the checklist on the FAA's site and it got me to thinking.How does a part that's been made on a CNC fit into the ruling?
I know the builder will still get credit for assembly.But lets say I do the CAD work and pay someone to make my file.
Would that be considered pro help in the FAA's eye's?
If so what if I was the one who "hit enter" and I was more or less "renting" the machine time?
Also how about personal machines,how do they come into play?If someone gave me say the files for a bunch of Bearhawk parts and all I did was load the machine.Can I still claim full credit?
What if I paid to have the cad files done?Would they ask or want to know and would it weigh into the percentages?
Also I tried to search but came up with everything under the sun.So I figured I'd ask if there's any decent threads on going through the certification process and their points system?Has anyone shared their experiences under the new system?
