Hello all,
A problem has come to light where ranchers are loosing cattle and large game are being targeted too.
Would any of you be able to suggest what single place light aircraft would be suitable for patrolling a few hundred square miles, not all in one flight. A range of 200 miles would be ideal. Given the effects of nature here the fuselage will have to be metal and if possible either metal or composite covered wings and fuselage.
Building by plans will be lowest cost for us and source local materials where practical.
It will need the ability to handle take off and landings on bush roads and fields. The terrain wont be in too poor a condition where large bush tyres have to be used, and a number of sites are planned for use where refuelling for plane and food for pilots will allow for best coverage. ATV wheels and tyres would work fine.
A cabin is of benefit to the pilot who will not want to be baked during daylight and frozen at night. Good visibility of course is a given.
Your input is greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
David
