Hi guys,
I notice that most of the smaller single-seat mounts post a stall speed in the mid 30kt range. I am aiming at the mid 40-kt range. How important is an ultra-slow stall? To my way of thinking, a higher stall means better penetration in cross-winds.
Legal aspects aside, if you had the choice of a 35-kt stall and slower cruise as a result of the large wing, or a 45-kt stall and the higher cruise because of the smaller wing - which would you choose.
And any comments re: benefits of stall speeds etc welcome.
Regards,
Duncan
