This thing makes my head hurt but I’ve been following it on and off for years:


The thought experiment at the beginning really sets it up to be a wind turbine driving the wheels... but then it isn’t. Also, the machine itself really reminds me of the more fringe one-off experimental planes in that it’s light and crude and easy to repair or modify.
