I just came across this interesting little article, concerning carbon frame bicycles and sunlight exposure.

It briefly describes an experiment where they mounted some hockey sticks on top of a car and drove around San Diego.

The result was:
no decrease in strength or stiffness after five years on top of the car in Southern California sun and heat.

It does not say what type of resin they used, though.
