I'm curious about something and just looking for thoughts or opinions.
The absolute widest airplane I can fit in my shop is 34". For years I've always admired Wittman Tailwinds, Buttercups, and the Wag Aero Vagabond replica as I've mentioned here numerous times on the forum. All three are too wide to build in my shop and there's no way I'm cutting a hole in my shop.
What are your thoughts on narrowing down a two seater and making it a single seat?
I don't think any of the 3 would scale well but they could be narrowed is what I'm thinking?
Or is this just not something that would make sense mechanically? The financial side is irrelevant to me, safety would be my concern.
A single seat Buttercup might be kinda fun. Has anyone heard of anyone doing something like this?
