My Dad passed away he was 94 He was a farmer in Nebraska but from 1939 to 1945 he was an airplane man. He almost never talked to me about his experience but I have always kept the text books from his Navy schools on aircraft maintenance. My uncle was a pilot and flew the Hump in a C-46. Late at nights Dad and uncle Andy would swap story's and I would sneak out of my bed room and listen in. And Mom would tell me what she knew.
