Greetings,
I am working on an ultralight airplane design. More details about that here.
https://www.homebuiltairplanes.com/forums/threads/new-member-and-new-airplane.34482/I am currently fleshing the wing design and how that is going to look, and one question I have is regarding the wing covering material. As of right now, I am leaning towards a single surface surface wing, covered with either Oratex fabric or polycarbonate coroplast. Oratex fabric is a more traditional option, but it is also a bit pricey. Coroplast is a bit more unorthodox, but it is cheaper. Is a coroplast covered wing feasible? Would it be safe enough to fly?
