Got a 20% off and free ship code, figured great! Time to buy some merch.
Then I tried to use the EAA's shopping site and cart software.
PURE. UTTER. GARBAGE.
Cart did not update, so I clicked 'add to cart' again. Cart still showed (0) items. Rats, go back to the items page, now there are (3) in the cart?!?
'Continue shopping' means take you back to the first page, not the page of the item you were just on, so no, not 'continue', but 'lose your place and waste time hunting for the item you wanted that was on the page you were just on'.
I've emailed the Director of IT for EAA previously and explained how the renewal pages can be easily gamed to display personal identification. His response was that your mailing address was not PII and that the site was 'secure'. So he's not even worth talking to again.
Add this on to the rather large mound of reasons why the National EAA Org is just pure utter garbage, and that unless its about Oshkosh, they just don't care.
Side rant: who buys old DVDs of past Oshkosh events? Why?
THE BEST PART:
The email showing my order confirmation has a broken link to the banner for the EAA logo HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
My dues are hard at work doing nothing, it seems.
