I am having a little trouble wrapping my head around the 51% Experimental rules if someone could help sorry.

Not the rules for building the plane itself, that's quite clear, I am having trouble with what type of planes you can, or rather, can't build. Seems you can build just about anything, what are the limits, are there any such as weight, seats, retractable gear etc, etc?

If you came from Australia as well and grew up in our over-regulated, Police Nanny State, you would understand why it's difficult to accept that you can seemingly build anything you like(?).
