I think the majority of ultralight buyers already have a pilot certificate but could use a couple dual instruction hops.
I have an idea for this. Essentially, the idea is to install a “sidecar” with a wheel on my ultralight for the instructor/owner to sit in. The sidecar would hinge down as the ultralight lifts off but the sidecar wheel remains on the ground. The sidecar could only move down about 2 feet, so the instructor would control throttle and the sidecar would never leave the ground while the student “flies” at 2 feet for a few hops. Hence, the “vehicle” remains ground bound and legal.
