A almost completely new propulsion system have been worked out in China, with me and former (Aero) SAAB and Volvo Aero people as consulting engineers, that not only improve efficiency with over 15% over the best we have today, it also improve stealth (noise) signature for propeller plane and helicopters This have been possible with reverse engineering (Chinese speciality) of the best propeller, rotor and jet engines that is in production of today, combined with new applied nano technique and other still secret surface treatment. The military will see the benefit of this new system in use first, (this of economical reasons) but will when production come up even be economical for homebuilt and general aviation.

The reduced noise is naturally important for the UAV industry but also more and more important for the kind of flying we do, in Europe, noise reduction have been important for a long time, but it creep over the pond to North America too. The higher efficiency is naturally a big plus with fuel prices of today.

Sorry I can not give more details of today of this new technology, due to the sensitivity of agreements between the involved companies.
