Hi all,
We moved into a place last summer that I am hoping is a good candidate for an occasional ultralight runway. I always have wanted to get into ultralights and was thinking of starting as simple and easy as possible. Which leads into a second question...

1. Based on the google screenshot, would you see landing a plane here. Could I land a Kitfox or similar? How about a Powered Parachute trike? The land does slope downward from the house but not steeply. I can get the slope information if its needed. It is 9 acres total. I can clear trees, and shed ruins as needed. I am well within the 5 mile radius of the regional airport. I was told flying out of here would still be possible with permision from the airport and an "endorsement". Is this a common request the airport would grant? I'm in Virginia by the way. If I few a PPG as an ultralight does that lessen the regulation requirements?

2. I'm looking for Powered Parachute trike/quad plans. I ran across the "Airframes Unlimited" T-2 model which I like but can't find an active site. There seem to be many homemade trikes but I can't find any plans. Anyone know of a nice design, single or twin?

Thanks,
Paul
