After 8 years my project is almost done
Beautiful !!! Congratulations ! We are all jealous.
Very pretty, more pics please!
More details of project
Did you use a solid foam core for the wing, instead of the foam ribs? And did you still use plywood skins?
No, I use styrofoam for wing's core and fiberglass and epoxy resin like covering, the playwood is for fuselage's skin
Beautiful work, Andre.
That looks like an iPad. Please tell us about the EFIS app you have chosen.
What did the composite wing panel weigh?
18 kg each wing, with aileron 20kg, no painting.
This app is v-cockpit for ios but I did not test in flight yet, I intend to use the airtrack because is more profissional
André, if am right, PIK26 original wing is one piece. Isn't? What are changes in fuselage centerplane and how are wings joined to fuse? Did You used original GAW airfoil?
Yeap, is true, I copied the pik26's italian version from walter. But I have to say it is not a good choice I had a lot of problens for dont follow the original plans
The airfoil is the same GAW2
Am thinking about building of bigger modified "PIK26" for whole VW 1700-1800ccm engine, 4.8-5m long, different thicker airfoil, separate flaps/ailerons, detachable wings - span cca 7m. Please, could You share Walter plans for studying?
Better you pick the corby starlet, this aircraft has the specs you want
I like PIK26 and 21 more + studying SD1 and others - will build modified PIK version.
Let me give you an advice, dont change the plans, my experience with this situation is not good
More details, engine and wings
I have the first of type in the USA Corby Starlet, n45bm in Texas. Great little airplane! Thinking I may sell it, maybe.
