Still sifting motorglider configurations.

One of them is a twin-boom pod-and-boom configuration. For weight and drag reasons (not to mention that, now that I've flown them regularly, I actually prefer them), I'd like to keep the main gear as a mono-wheel configuration. With a twin-boom tail, however, that means twin tailwheels. Assuming that there are outriggers on the wings (to prevent excessive roll on the ground) can anyone see any particular objection to having a single main and twin (steerable) tailwheels? It's "odd", yes, but that's not a valid objection in my book. I'm talking about operational problems.
