Thought we could have a photo thread on jigs. Maybe this will help spur the lurkers in to action? Or possible show others there's a different way? Or maybe just a way of building a community.

So look around your shop, what jigs do you have, had, made, or making? I'll start.

I love blocks. Been playing with blocks since I was a baby crawling on the carpet. I never throw out chunks of metal that could be a handy block.

Here's a jig I made from a 3/4 block of steel used to bend a 10° angle on some 1/8" 4130. The trick is to bend it after the hole is drilled, the do 4 identical parts. The drill bit I drilled the hole with also acts as an alignment jig for the hole on all 4 parts to I'm sure the bend happens exactly 3/4" from the hole.
