I thought it would be fun to have a thread with various interesting aircraft designs (one smallish photo and short description with designer name if available). Preferably GA, but I realize some of the more interesting aircraft are military. I think this could serve as design inspiration for others.

I'll start out with a few.

BV-141: reconnaissance aircraft developed by Blohm and Voss during WWII. Designed by Richard Vogt.

Dyke Delta JD-2: Designed by John Dyke. 3.5 seat, retractable gear

Wainfan Facetmobile: Designed by Barnaby Wainfan, lifting body

Transavia PL-12 Airtruk: Designed and built by Transavia Corporation in Australia, cropduster

Here's one of my favorites, the Croses B-EC-9 Para-Cargo by the late Emilien Croses, the largest Mignet-type tandem wing design ever built and flown. The Para-Cargo was intended to be the homebuilt prototype of an eventual small-volume production machine for skydiving, cargo, agricultural, ambulance and recreational use, even as a flying camper. It's a true two-control Mignet design--feet on the floor, control wheel for pitch and yaw but with two manually adjustable tabs on the rear wing for pitch trim or, used differentially, to dial in a fixed amount of "aileron" for crosswind operations. Performance was quite impressive for such a big plane with just a 180 hp Lycoming and a fixed-pitch prop: initial climb 4-6 m/s (787-1181 fpm), payload 450 kg (992 lbs), cruise 170 km/h (105 mph/92 knots), fuel consumption 28 l/h (7.4 US gph).

When you post a picture, please also post the name of the aircraft. so that if people don't know what it is, they can look up more information.
