I am trying to decide if flush rivets are worth the effort to do all that dimpling, or if low profile rivets are 'adequate' (whatever that means).
Lets say you have a plane that used low profile rivets, and it cruises at 100 mph.
Then you replace all the low profile rivets on the outer skin with dimples and flush head rivets. How much improvement in the cruise speed would be expected?
Of course, whether that is worth the effort would be an entirely personal decision
