Thinking about my tail skid, wing tip supports, propeller ground guard. I realized that a saltwater fishing rod is pretty big and strong and light at the base and is tapered like one would want. Walmart has them for as low as $20. Now the question....is there strength information on these poles, or does anybody know the about raw material or suppliers where information might be easily obtained. Testing is of course probably the right answer,....but who knows what the list knows.
