Called Mary Carlson at East Palestine, Ohio . Carlson Aircraft is located about 2 or 3 miles north of town at their grass strip called Aero Flight Center.
Ernie Carlson and I started flying free flight on his parents farm about one mile or so east of the Aero Flight Center strip when we were 15 years old. There was an old strip on his parents farm with a tee hanger and wind sock. Remember when Ernie and Mary got married. Mary is my age and is very upset about what is happening and has no idea about the future. Pray for all the people effected. Wife and I need to drive up and visit when things get more settled.
My first RC flight was on his parents farm in 1958.
I lived a few mile east in PA at the time. Moved to WV when I was 30 years old back on my Grandfathers farm. So that area is like home to me. Wife also has family in the area.
