The material in the picture is an aluminum extrusion. 1/2 angle, 1/16"thick but with an extra small " bulb" sticking out of the corner.

It is used in the rib caps of a certain unmentionable Cub clone.

I looked everywhere, but nobody else seems to use it. If anyone here has come across a supplier or knows where to get it, I would really appreciate it.20200131_172305.jpg 20200131_172305.jpg

Try the TW Metals catalog. Or whatever became of TW metals by now, probably some other name. They have a large number of aircraft extrusions, and hold the extrusion dies for several Boeing and Cessna parts.

If you have no luck finding it, either look for T section, as TFF said, I section, or get 1/8” thick and set up a router/mill.

IIRC, we used to get our metals from M&K Metals in Gardena when I was rebuilding WW2 fighters at Chino. If they didn’t have it, they could usually get it.... that is if I’m remembering the correct metal supplier.
