Using model designs as "styling templates"

Scaling up or down is always problematic; so rather than scaling, I would rephrase the question a little. Using various well known and/or classic model designs as a "template" for the styling or general "look" only, and not the actual dimensions/areas, seems pretty feasible to me, i.e., instead of scaling up from some small artifact, you start from scratch and just go for a certain look or vibe. Not every model design is suitable, IMO, but some look like they'd make very attractive little airplanes. So, in the hopes that a few would be interested in this particular angle:

What model designs have the styling/aesthetics that you think would make a good and nice/cool looking full size aircraft?

Two that I am especially fond of are the Daddy-o, a mid-wing racer-ish monoplane:

and an older biplane called "El Bobo" (I know it's very similar to the Jungster I, but the similarity would be as superficial as the Jungster's is to the Jungmeister):
