There has been some discussion on another forum I frequent about tapping off the turbocharger discharge and routing that air to heat the cabin.

I hear that some Lancair models use this type of heat source for the cabin.

If anyone has any experience in this type of system I would be greatly interested in hearing how it works. The turbocharger discharge air is around 42 IN HG and fairly hot and the turbocharger has plenty of extra air blowing power so it seems like a good source of heat the question is how is the air expanded and muffled before it enters the cabin as heat?

Any advice and experience is appreciated!!!
