New to the forum, but have been flying off and on for 40yrs as a student and in ultralights.

Hi, my name is Phil. I've already been posting here, but I thought I would introduce myself.

First of all, I want to thank Jake for the best and most complete forum for homebuilt aircraft on the internet. There is no equal. I also appreciate the fact that there is no spam here as found on other forums. While most of what is here applies to GA, I am here because I build and fly ultralight aircraft. I hope someday to have a sports license, but that will depend on my future "discretionary" income. That is mostly why I fly ultralights. It was either get the license or fly a plane (ultralight). I can live with the restrictions on ultralights just fine right now, so that is the path that I chose.

I'm going to be in the middle of several projects soon. I have to recover a 7/8 Jenny, build another and cover (I have 2 of them), dual surface the wings on a Condor (MX look-alike) that I took the wires off of and replaced with spars, and I want to build a good touring ultralight that is good on fuel and fun to fly, probably a parasol of some type. I have no idea where to post these ventures in the forums (which threads are best) and I definitely would like your feedback on all aspects of what I do. Eventually, I would like to build a 2 place that I can fly with a sports pilot's license.

I've already made up my mind on some people here that I know I like and hope to eventually meet someday. Hopefully I'll get to know more of the posters here on the forum in the future.

I'll stop rambling now. I have a tendency to do that.
