The Lee Bottom Fly In has taken the theme this year "Aviation Migration". It is located near Madison Indiana. Due to a tornado several years ago, the field where the fly in is conducted suffered major damages to buildings and equipment. This is billed as the final year for the fly in, but if enough interest is generated, we can always hope that the owners of the field will reconsider. My guess is that usually about 150 airplanes have attended the event in previous years. It has always been low key and enjoyable. The challenge this year pits
"certifieds" against "homebuilts" to see which has the more dedicated bunch of pilots. There are always many homebuilts there to feast your eyes on, check out details, and talk to owners. This is a non-profit event, with all money going to cover event costs, which usually exceeds the money coming in. Take this chance to attend a great event before it passes away, and hopefully rejuvenate it.

I don't think this post breaks any HBA rules as it isn't for a profitable venture, and its an opportunity for many HBA followers to see some real homebuilts up close and talk to the owners. Sept 16-18
