.... has there been a noticeable spike in the number of new HBA members recently?

I remember there used to be periods of several weeks without a seeing a new member announcement. Now it seems I see them every day or three.

Make no mistake, I am THRILLED that more and more new people are interested in homebuilt airplanes and HBA, and I'm not disturbed or annoyed by it at all. I'm just wondering if something has happened out there in the world that induced a larger than "usual" number of people to become interested in joining the HBA forum over the last few months. A great positive disturbance in the Force?
