Hi Everyone,
I just stumbled upon HBA a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised by the breadth and depth of the topics and answers. It will take me some time to explore what is here, but so far it looks like a good match for my interests.
I am an aerospace engineer by education, but I've ended up doing mostly non-aviation (mechanical) engineering in my day job. I'm a numerical analysis guy, and do CFD and FEA (thermal, not structural) consulting for my firm. What I really like to do, though, is airplane design, something I've been doing a bit of in my spare time. This forum seems to have many participants with design interests as well as experience, which I like to see.
I have several designs which I've taken to different levels, but not anything to talk about at this point. I've recently been intrigued by the Velocity V-Twin and the twin-safety aspects that it has, which is why I made it my avatar for now. Currently I'm spending some time working through what a next-iteration "V-Twin" could look like.
