The planes we watched outside of Phoenix (AZ), excepting of course the "weird" helicopter, appeared to mostly be biplanes, having huge, out-sized radial engines, evidently capable of nearly pulling the aircraft apart!

How cautious, careful, must pilots of "over-powered" aircraft be? Is it factual that center of gravity (C.G.) locations are purposely moved, to accommodate very large output engines in small craft?

I ask these things, as a newbie, experienced in many facets of Engineering, with the obvious exception of Aeronautics. Thanks for reading! jack
