A four place aircraft with comfortable and roomy cabin.
Design Spec Goals
Power: 200 HP (149 kW)
Weight Goal: 1000 - 1200 lb (453 - 544 kg)
Aircraft Storage: Wing disconnect at landing gear for compact storage.
Cabin Width:
Wing Area: 110 sqft (10.2 m^2)
Wing Flaps: Flaps with telescoping canard mechanically linked (or computer controlled) for correct
stall characteristics.
Vertical Control Surfaces: Vertical control surfaces and the landing gear are one and the same, and
so all vertical control surfaces are below the aircraft. The main landing gear are fixed (non moving)
and provide stabilizing vertical control. The main vertical control surface is an all moving nose
canard/nose landing gear. It will have a telescoping feature to make sure there is enough control
surface area for adequate control.
Possible Issues:The telescoping nose rudder will be a problem if the pilot forgets to retract the gear during
landing.
