I have been considering a Rotax 912 uls almost exclusively but for several reasons (including the sound ;)) I have been also considering Continental O-200 or C90. When is an O-200 considered a certified engine/prop combo (hinting at the 25 hours Phase 1)? Or what makes one become a non-certified O-200? I understand that if the exact engine/prop combo have been certified in past then that combo may be eligible for the 25 hour phase 1 (of course if a/c is ok) but what about the engine itself. I have heard lots of "rumors" about this and that like if the engine has the inspeciton plate etc it is certified......
