Is there any fundamental reason not to have a bottom piano hinged (or similar location hinged) aileron? Most ailerons that I can recall that are mounted with piano hinge have the hinge on the top surface. Flaps are generally the opposite for more obvious reasons.

Frise ailerons are bottom hinged but below the airfoil surface but I’m focusing on hinges within the airfoil on the top of bottom.
