Assume an airfoil used on a plane with a given take-off speed. Now, I like to use this airfoil for a slower
(but similar)
airplane with a slower take-off speed.
Started from airfoil data on X and Y axis, the logic way is to down-scale the X-ax, resulting in a shorter/thicker wing.
Could I expect the same lift for this shorter (or thicker) airfoil at a lower speed?
(taking in count of the v² in formulae )
Are both wing characteristics comparable?
