I know there’s various comments concerning vinyl wrap posted in several threads so forgive me if this has already been addressed. I gather it’s relatively lightweight and looks good.

I am considering it’s application to the top side of all flying surfaces of a fabric covered (and finished) airplane. Said airplane has barely visible hairline cracks in the paint as a result of hail impact. So far the finish is sound but over time I fear it might start chipping and exposing the fabric to uv.

How well does this stuff adhere? I mean if the leading edge of the film is exposed to the airflow, is there a chance it could start to peel? I assume so and it’s probably applied such that no edge/seam is oriented into the flow.

Wrapping it around the leading edges is a no-go for various reasons of complexity. I will just go for the full fabric redo if edge peeling is in fact an issue.

Thoughts?
