Hey, I'm new to the forum and am looking forward to learning a great deal here. :)

I am running some figures for a on paper project, and just wondering if you guys have any knowledge of a rough estimate how many lbs of thrust is required for an aircraft to maintain cruise? Is there any (very rough) rule of thumb based on the weight of the aircraft, or any estimate calculator based on wing area/popular airfoils/drag coefficient etc?

I know this could vary wideley based on design and conditions, but am looking for just rough ballpark figures.

In this case, as an example, if anyone happens to know that info for a Cessna 150, or Zenair Zodiac - it would be really helpful!
