The little SIPA S.200 Minijet designed by Yves Gardan is a favorite, but unless anyone has an affordable small turbojet or turbofan that I don't know about, it would be awfully hard to replicate as a homebuilt.
What about a simplified version with a similar short fuselage pod and side-by-side seating but a constant-chord wing of larger area, larger tail surfaces, fixed landing gear and a lightweight pusher engine on a short pylon, likely a two-stroke. I think a straight center section supporting the booms and slight dihedral on the outer panels only (if necessary) would work, keeeping the width with the outer panels removed under 7' for trailering and storage.
Is that something folks might be interested in?
