I found a way to aid in keeping ply from splintering badly when cutting with power tools. I took some Liquid nails adhesive that is supplied from most all hardware stores that goes into your caulking gun and mixed 1 part of rubbing alcohol to 3 parts liquid nails and coated the piece of ply to be cut and let harden. I hand rubbed the product into the plywood and after cutting I found it did not splinter nearly as much as before and sanding was with great ease. This product is in no way good for structural joint but does seep into the wood and seems to lock the fibers together better. It dries to a light grey color. I believe the only draw back is the weight gained in the process. FWIW
