I did a search on this, but couldn't find a satisfactory answer.

On a typical aluminum rib, how wide is the flange? 3/4 inch or is 1 inch better? I would like to know this so that I can do a better weight esitmate of my wings.

And is there a way to determine what the spacing of the flutes should be? I have seen that they are closer on the more curved part of the rib, and farther apart (or none at all) on the straight part.

Or are these more of those "it depends" questions?
