I've been lurking for a while and finding the reading quite interesting. I have decided to build the Perceptor N-3 Pup and my question arises thusly:
1. To gain extra lift and to improve STOL, would permanently mounted (read not retractable) slats on the LE be worth the effort?
2. If #1 is yes, would a solid glassed balsa slat work?
The theory here is that while climbing, the slat would add extra lift and while cruising would add little or no drag.
