Looks like Mooney is going to be the first of the mainstream aircraft manufactures to begin building aircraft for the Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) market. It's called the Toxo and right now it's faster and heavier than what the LSA specs are calling for. Who knows how they will lighten it up and slow it down. I suppose a smaller engine.
