I have a pair of alum wing tanks that were removed from the wings on a Hi-Max. Never been used. Same wing design as mini-max. More details and pics available if you are interested.

IF you can't find any aluminum tanks.---------------------
I built a set of tanks similar to the Hi-Max fuel tanks from fiberglass. 4 gal each. Not hard to do. I also like looking at the fuel level in the tanks as a fuel gauge. I didn't paint the tops of the tanks to let the light shine in.
Lay out flat pieces on a sheet of glass covered with wax paper and the a sheet of glass on top with wax paper, weighted down with a few bricks. Cut to shape after hard. Made a curved piece of cheap 1/8 plywood to the shape of the top of the rib and covered with wax paper and made the lay-up. Cut to shape and put all the pieces of the tank together with epoxy and flox mixture. Then 2 layers of fiberglass tape over the corners inside and outside.
Just make sure you don't get any fuel with Ethanol .

I've got a set I'd be willing to let go for $100 + shipping or a good used Victor J-28 torch handle + shipping.

They're unused but I did pre-soak them when I fitted them in the quick build wing (post #5 & 6) ...this kind of tank needs to be pre-soaked with fuel before you install them because they swell up a little.

So Fritz, you are designing and building two airplanes on equipment you built while helping on a chapter plane AND you built some fuel tanks! You must drink some kick a** coffee!

Pops......I had thought about making my own tanks but the problem is fuel quality.
I'm actually going to use the Stork as an rv....camping in some isolated places.
So who knows what type of fuel will be available.

One of the reasons I built another set of wings with larger fuel tanks and with aluminum. Had room for a small tent between the firewall and instrument panel and a small bag, sleeping bag and pillow on shelf behind seat and had a storage pouch on the rear of the seat back and a seat cushion with a zipper where I could store a couple changes of clothes. Space for tiedowns under the seat. Total of 16 gal instead of 8 with a fuel burn of 3 gph at cruise. Plan ahead during construction.

    Sorry Kevin,
By the time I found some cardboard and got the tanks boxed up it was too late to ship them today. They'll go out in the morning. ...right after my mandatory pre-airport burrito and coffee.
EDIT: it's an ugly packing job but the tanks are secure (I'm was racing the clock and lost)

No worries....I had a very unusual and long day myself yesterday.
Why dont you just wait to ship them out until you receive the payment....I'm in no rush and want to make sure you are paid.
Send me the grand total with your information and the payment will be heading your way.....
