Whenever people describe the sandwich substitutes for foams at places where bolts or other attachments go thru a sandwich structure like at the spar/firewall bolt attachments, they all mention phenolic resin or wood.
Why doesnt anybody use scotchply or similar?
Its would make up for a more homogenous bonding and would additionally stiffen that area.
