Just throwing this out there for comments. I was helping a friend move his wings to storage out of his shop. They're all wood and light weight, and very labour intensive, with having to bow the top and bottom stringers, and then add the internal cross bracing etc. then about a week later as I was working on a friends R/C airplane, why could a person get the airfoils for wing ribs cut out of aircraft grade birch plywood, and have the lightening holes cut out at the same time etc, cutting down the amount of wood you'd have to shape, trim, glue etc???? Has anyone investigated this?
