Do you guys use a router table or put the router on a solid base and move the aluminum around? I just bought a router at a garage sale and I want to give this a try.

I make my own router 'table tops' from 3/4 ply and a 2x1 frame. I've never had room for a dedicated router table. One of my table tops is a bit over 2" thick and takes minimal storage. I set it on horses or something to use it.

I have a small router table, probably about 16 or 18 inches square and sandwiched the rib blanks inbetween the rib form blocks and routed them. Seems like I did two or maybe three at a time, .016 material.
