I need the legal definition of IFR at my airport Airports - Jefferson County International | WSDOT.
The AWOS 3 reports visibility and clouds and fog.
I determined from the chart, the airport is class G at surface. And class E at 700 feet above the runway (maybe 1200?). Based on magenta band around Seattle class B.
I am confused by the two definitions of class E on the magenta area in the attachment below. What does “laterally abuts” mean? I noticed old charts are not the same and do not say “laterally abuts”.
