How would one go about registering an old weight shift trike ultralight as a light sport aircraft? In order to solo for my license it must be done in a LSA. My trike as it sits is a ultralight part 103 because the back seat was removed, however if I add the rear seat back then it becomes a LSA. what would be the best way to get it registered? this would also save on training since I would be able to use my own aircraft so long as it is a LSA.
