So this came in the mail today:
I am planning to build a metal airplane, so my thoughts are that instead of:
1. Complete CAD drawings
2. Print drawings
3. Make wooden templates for parts.
4. Transfer template to sheet metal
5. Cut sheet metal
I can:
1. Complete CAD drawings
2. Transfer files to Shaper Origin
3. Cut sheet metal.
Now I thought about building a traditional gantry CNC router, but as I only have a 2 car garage the thought of having a machine that was 5'x10' just didn't appeal to me. Plus now I have a CNC machine whose capacity is bigger than my garage...if I had the table space.
Anyhow, just opened it and will report back on how it does....
