I grew up in a 172 and now, many years later, I find myself drawn back to GA.
I enjoy reading about ya'lls builds and plan to begin my own project once I secure workspace.

“ya’lls”???...from NW Wisconsin? I grew up in Wisconsin and never met anybody from there who said “y’all.” Are you really a flatlander from Illinois trying to fit in, or are you a Confederate spy from south of the Mason-Dixon Line? (they’re still fighting that war: the news never made it that far north)
(In northern New England, local Civil War re-enactors use their replica muskets to shoot at vehicles that display the Confederate battle flag...sometimes they miss and hit the Trump-Pence bumper sticker.)

I accully live in Merrill WI. 20 miles north of Wausau WI. And I am from NC. I did Civil War reenacting for many years. Still have my 1862 Springfield. and I have this for those pesky Yankees that don't know the war is over.12 lb.jpg 12 lb2.jpg

My G- Grandfather spent a year in a Yankee prisoner of war camp in Del. When I was a kid I used to play with his power horn and shot bag. Don't know what happen to them. Best thing they had to eat was when the guards threw rats over the wall for them to catch and eat. I have copies of his paper work when he was captured and when he was released from the prison.
Before Del. He spent about 6 months in the prison in Columbus, OH before being sent to Del. I also have the paper work for that prison.
He had two brothers that died, one 19 years old and one 24 years old. 2 out of 3.

Lighten up. His user name is Olaf455. Does that sound Southern? Maybe he picked up that expression on this newfangled thing called the internet. I grew up in Vermont*, and I suspect a "ya'll" passed my lips. No one pointed a musket at me.

*Didn't get there until I was 5, and lived in 2 other states before that, so I can't claim to be a native.

Hey, Mark! I have a cousin-in-law that reenactor with a cannon; from New Mexico...
If you'd like to see the best in Ercoupes, the type club meets in Wausau this July - 15 through 18.
