I remember that Scott Watts called for carbon rod in his spar for the KRSuper2.
I think I have a scheme to stiffen a 6in 1/8 wall Aluminum tube. If I may, 1st a thin layer of fiberglass bid, followed by
an undermined amount of Carbon fiber uni, then 6 rods stacked in a pyramid shape at the 11/2, 41/2,71/2, and finally the101/2 position. I can layup a "pocket" if you will to capture the rods. I guess encapsulate the rods in micro with a uni cap.
These points will also capture the honeycomb rib from rotating.
I would appreciate any comments you guys may have.
