Hi, does anyone have experience hand forming curved flanges on thin stainless steel?
Tips and tricks are welcome.
I’m attempting my firewall. It’s .9mm stainless so quite thin but could be thinner except I can’t obtain thinner here.
I’ve only an MDF (custom wood) form to bend it around but I’ve epoxied the edges to hopefully toughen it enough to last a bit of pounding.
I’ve made some crude fluting pliers bro help shrink and stiffen the flange.
Pics below of the original galv one and my blank and form.

Cheers for taking the time to read 😄
